All Stars Information

Towards the end of the season players who have expressed interest in playing for All-Stars will be contacted by their current coaches. All players ages 8 – 12 that have played the minimum number of games will be eligible to sign up to be considered for selection. Players will be selected by All-Star coaches with Board approval and notified if they have been selected to participate in the tournament.  

Please note that there is a time commitment for practices and weekend tournaments that are more rigorous than our regular season play.  There also may be financial costs in addition to regular season registration for players, however, fundraising is an option for teams advancing through the tournament. 

For our 2023 season we will be hoping to put together an All-Star team for the following divisions:

2016 Post Falls Little League All Star Selection Process

Manager Selection

  1. An All Star Committee will be compiled of 4-5 board members who are in good standing not wishing to be eligible to manage an All Star Team.

  2. The All Star Committee will be responsible for compiling a ballot of all eligible Managers (based on eligibility rules set by Little League International and Division Managers wishing to be considered eligible).

  3. The Managers for the respective divisions will have the opportunity to be eligible to manage an All Star team with the following guidelines:

    1. Majors (10/11/12 years olds) All Star Team – Majors Managers

    2. Minors (9/10/11) year old All Star Team – Majors Managers and AAA Managers

    3. Minors (8/9/10) year old All Star Team – AAA Managers and AA Managers

  4. Only Managers who have managed in their respective division for a minimum of 60% of the regular season games are eligible for All Star Selection.

  5. Managers who wish to be considered eligible must submit a completed application to the All Star Committee no later than the third week of May.

  6. The All Star Committee will review the submitted applications and interview perspective All Star Manager Candidates.

  7. Selection of the All Star Manager ballots will be made available to general board members the last week of May.

  8. Any perspective All Star Managers and meeting attendees will be permitted to address the board and make recommendations on the All Star Manager selection during the open session of the All Star Manager Meeting.

  9. The All Star Committee will be responsible for making a recommendation to the general board members at the All Star Manager Selection Meeting in a closed session.

  10. The President will supervise the ballot vote and will count the ballots at the All Star Manager Selection meeting.

Coach Selection

  1. The All Star Committee will be responsible for compiling a list of eligible Managers and Coaches who have submitted a completed application wishing to be considered for an All Star Coach position.

  2. Any remaining Managers or Coaches not selected as an All Star Manager who submitted an application can be considered for an All Star Coaches position.

  3. The All Star Committee will be responsible for making a recommendation to the general board members at the All Star Manager Selection Meeting in a closed session.

  4. The newly selected All Star Manager will also make a recommendation to the general board members as to the All Star Coach positions.

  5. General board members and All Star Managers will vote on the All Star Coach positions.

  6. The President will supervise the ballot vote and will count the ballots at the All Star Manager selection meeting.

Player Selection

  1. The Player Agent shall be responsible for compiling a ballot of all eligible players (based on eligibility rules set by Little League International and players wishing to be considered eligible).

  2. The Managers for the respective divisions will have the opportunity to complete up to 12 names on their ballot with the following guidelines:

    1. Majors (10/11/12 years old) All Star Team – Majors Managers

    2. Minors (9/10/11) year old All Star Team – Majors Managers and AAA Managers

    3. Minors (8/9/10) year old All Star Team – AAA Managers and AA Managers

  3. The 6 players in each Division who receive the TOP Number of votes are added to the team.

  4. The Managers from the respective Divisions as well as the All Star Manager will have the responsibility for adding players (Not to exceed a total of 12) to the team during the All Star Selection Meeting with the following guidelines:

    1. Majors (10/11/12 years old) All Star Team – Majors Managers

    2. Minors (9/10/11) year old All Star Team – Majors Managers and AAA Managers

    3. Minors (8/9/10) year old All Star Team – AAA Managers and AA Managers

  5. The All Star Manager will have the opportunity to add up to 2 additional players at his or her discretion.

  6. Selection for these teams should begin with ballots made available to coaches the last week of May. The Player Agent will supervise the ballot vote and will count ballots. Results will be kept confidential until the All Star Selection meeting.

  7. FOR MAJORS – Only players league age 10, 11 or 12, who have played in the Majors division for a minimum of 60% of the regular season games are eligible for All Star Selection.

  8. Placement and selection of teams will follow the following hierarchy:

    1. Majors (10/11/12 years olds) All Star Team

    2. Minors (9/10/11) year old All Star Team

    3. Minors (8/9/10) year old All Star Team
